BE SAFE

Nothing you post online is ever 100% safe. Although we are told something is ‘safe’, or we are exposed to something being portrayed as ‘safe’, the internet can be a whole other world of possibilities. This we examined how big data and user-produced content in global systems play a role in the surveillance and control. It is important when online that you don’t give out any personal information, use of privacy settings and always be careful of what you download!

This week I created a ‘starter pack’ which is labelled “I am safe online” starter pack. It includes things like covering your laptop camera, adding virus and ad blockers, using PayPal and turning location services off. My remediation is meant to demonstrate a typical person who claims to be safe online.
